Athena joined Congress Asset Management in 2025 as a Compliance Associate. In this role, she oversees key regulatory filings, administers the firm’s Code of Ethics Policy, responds to due diligence requests, conducts compliance testing, and supports the development, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
Prior to joining Congress, Athena worked in management consulting, specializing in internal audit, financial advisory, risk and compliance, and anti-money laundering. She has extensive experience conducting operational audits across a range of industries, including financial services (REITs, fund administrators, asset managers, and banks), technology, healthcare, and federal and defense organizations, as well as traditional SOX audits. Athena is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and earned the IACCP® designation in August 2026. Co-sponsored by Comply and the Investment Adviser Association (IAA), the designation recognizes knowledge of investment adviser regulation and compliance best practices.
Outside of work, Athena is passionate about mentoring college students as they transition into the workforce. She enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking, and maintains an active lifestyle through running, weightlifting, and travel.
